CALL FOR PAPERS: Special Issue on Populations, Vulnerabilities, and Ecological Inequalities (Espaces Populations Sociétés)
The French journal Espaces Populations Sociétés (Space, Population, Societies) is issuing a call for papers on the subject of populations, vulnerabilities and ecological inequalities. Papers can be in English or French. In the fields of human and social sciences the notions of vulnerability and ecological inequality are engaged in advanced and exploratory researches. This research theme encourages interdisciplinarity and creates new questions about the relationship between populations and space. Proposals are invited for any of the following topics, with references to spatial or territorial assessment: geographic mobility and vulnerability against natural or technological hazards; demographic dynamics, environmental constraints or amenities; social inequality and ecological inequality; environmental constraints or amenities and social space segregation; social space dynamics and environmental justice.
The deadline for abstract submissions is 1 June 2007. For more information on the journal visit http://www.univ-lille1.fr/geographie/espace_populations_societes.htm.
