EMPLOYMENT: Landscape Ecologist (ICRAF)

The World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF) seeks to recruit a Landscape Ecologist to undertake agro-ecosystem analysis and characterization studies as part of its ongoing research on Natural Resources Management. S/he will contribute to the further development of ICRAF's research portfolio on land degradation assessment and land rehabilitation, which aims at better management of tropical agricultural landscapes for ecosystem services and improved human wellbeing. Current projects in the research group focus on land rehabilitation in Mali, Kenya, Mozambique and India. The research looks at tradeoffs and synergies in delivering livelihood and environmental services benefits, including carbon sequestration. The incumbent will be a member of an interdisciplinary team of researchers and will be based either in Nairobi or a field station in Kisumu, Western Kenya.
