The Department of Geography at the University of Iowa is seeking to recruit three additional research/teaching assistants in for this academic year. The areas of interest for which funding is available include:
- Environmental health (including spatial epidemiology)
- Land use change (including conservation ecology)
- GIScience (including geoinformatics, remote sensing and simulation)
- And intersections among the above
Funding for up to 5 years is available. RA/TA stipends start at >$16K for a 9 month academic year, with additional funding available over summer, health benefits, tuition scholarship, and a relatively low cost of living.
Applicants interested in these positions must submit their application through our graduate program as soon as possible. Good score in GRE and strong quantitative skills are key requirements.
