CALL FOR ABSTRACTS: Banana and plantain in Africa: Harnessing international partnerships to increase research impact
The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) is organizing a conference in Mombasa, Kenya (April 7-10, 2008) that will focus on banana and plantain research across Africa: lessons learnt and the way forward. Fostering international partnerships is a major objective of the conference, with particular emphasis to establish the role of research in promoting future commercial activities and trade in banana, plantain and ensete. The conference will focus on three major themes: markets and trade, production, and innovation systems.
Abstracts can be submitted online at http://www.banana2008.com/cms/details/call_for_paper.aspx. Accepted abstracts will be published and presented as posters during the conference. Based on the selections from the Scientific Committee, authors of outstanding abstracts will be invited to write full papers. Abstracts will not be accepted after 30 September, 2007.
