EMPLOYMENT: Coordinator, CGIAR Systemwide Livestock Programme
The Systemwide Livestock Programme (SLP) contributes to the CGIAR goals of alleviating poverty in the developing world and protecting natural resources in order to achieve sustainable food security by building and strengthening links between diverse CGIAR centres and programmes, their partners and other stakeholders to develop integrated research on livestock related issues.
The International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) as the convener of the System-wide Livestock Progamme (SLP), seeks to recruit a coordinator to be based at the SLP coordination office at ILRI’s principal site in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The coordinator will provide intellectual leadership to the SLP and drive the strategic planning of the programme, lead fund raising for the programme, and facilitate the implementation of funded projects, monitor their progress and where appropriate to their own expertise, contribute to the research outputs. Duties will also include general programme management and promotion of the SLP and its achievements.
