EMPLOYMENT: Assistant Professor, Social Dimensions of Energy Development
The University of Colorado at Boulder is seeking to complement strengths in environmental and atmospheric sciences with a hire in the area of social and/or economic impacts and implications of energy development. Candidates are invited to apply for a tenure-track assistant professor position with a research focus in social dimensions of energy development including, but not limited to, environmental or energy economics, energy policy, geopolitics of energy, land/water resource management policy, the political economy of energy development, consumer behavior, and/or firm behavior. A regional focus on the American West is desirable but not required. Duties of the position include teaching, research, and service. Position requirements include a Ph.D. in a relevant field, commitment to excellence in undergraduate and graduate teaching, and promise of excellence in research and ability to work in interdisciplinary teams. Rostering is flexible, with possible departmental home in Economics, Environmental Studies, Geography, or Sociology.
