EMPLOYMENT: Amazon Watch Program Director

Founded in 1996, Amazon Watch is a dynamic nonprofit organization that protects the rainforest and advances the rights of indigenous peoples in the Amazon Basin. In the coming years, the organization will expand public awareness and support of the intrinsic value of indigenous peoples stewardship and the significance of the Amazon rainforest, especially as it relates to climate change. The Program Director, based in San Francisco or Washington DC, is responsible for managing and directing program staff to deliver results in advocacy campaigns for human rights, corporate accountability and the preservation of the Amazon's ecological systems. The Program Director is also responsible for helping program teams deliver effective support to indigenous and local communities in the regions of the Amazon where we work. [more information]
