EMPLOYMENT: IFPRI Division Director, Development Strategy and Governance Division
The International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) seeks a Division Director to lead its Development Strategy and Governance (DSG) Division. This position is based at IFPRI’s headquarters in Washington, DC. The position is a five-year, fixed-term appointment, and is renewable depending on performance and funding. This position is based at IFPRI headquarters located in Washington, D.C.
DSG conducts research and outreach to help developing countries design and implement strategies related to food, nutrition, agricultural and rural sectors for cutting hunger and poverty. The division is central to cross-cutting development economics research at IFPRI. The division staff works closely with policy-makers in developing countries to identify the preconditions for successful pro-poor growth, develop practical conceptual frame works and methods for strategic analysis, and strengthen the capacity of developing countries to formulate and implement national strategies. The division manages IFPRI’s country strategy support programs in Ethiopia, Ghana, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria, Uganda, and China. The Division Director will be responsible for all research, outreach, financial and personnel management of the division.
