CALL FOR PROPOSALS: Community-Based Coping Mechanisms
The Bill & Melinda Gates foundation has launched the Community-based Coping Mechanisms for Agricultural Risk RFP. Your are invited to present concept notes that explore community-based coping mechanisms for managing agricultural risks. Community-based coping mechanisms are defined as strategies used by “groups and communities building on traditional notions of social responsibility and communalism to assist one another to survive shocks”. The foundation is looking to support research on community- based risk coping mechanisms and the institutions required to successfully govern them. They will also evaluate the potential to formulate strategies to scale up coping mechanisms. The foundation seeks to fund 2 to 3 grants between $100,000 to $750,000 over 24 months.
