EMPLOYMENT: Two Program Director Positions at CIFOR (Bogor, Indonesia)
The Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) advances human wellbeing, environmental conservation and equity by conducting research to inform policies and practices that affect forests in developing countries. CIFOR currently has two vacancies for Program Director positions based in its Bogor, Indonesia headquarters.
The Director, Forests and Livelihoods Programme will lead research and outreach on how forests contribute to sustainable livelihoods. The Director will manage a team of scientists to bring together and expand existing research in CIFOR on the role of forest products and services as safety nets and as a means to improve human wellbeing.
The Director, Forests and Governance Programme will lead research on how society can make more informed and democratic decisions that support sustainable forests and livelihoods. The multidisciplinary programme currently includes research on decentralisation and devolution, forest finance and law enforcement, and collaborative forest management.
