EMPLOYMENT: EDRSAIA Project Coordinator (ILRI-Nairobi)
ILRI’s Early Detection Reporting and Surveillance – Avian Influenza in Africa (EDRSAIA) project started in 2007 and now entered in its last phase up to September 2011. The goal of the last year’s activities will be to consolidate the gains of EDRSAIA to date through:
- Supporting the institutionalization of risk based surveillance approaches such as Participatory
Epidemiology (PE) and Participatory Disease Surveillance (PDS) programs initiated by EDRSAIA
- Conducting an impact assessment of the capacity development in PE conducted by ILRI as part of the EDRSAIA project but also other PE capacity building projects conducted in the past.
- Supporting EDRSAIA project countries with PE studies and possible additional training activities to be conducted by national trainers, trained as part of the project.
ILRI is therefore seeking to recruit a Nairobi-based EDRSAIA Coordinator to play a key role in leading and supervising all elements of this multi-partner initiative.
Deadline: September 30, 2010
