EMPLOYMENT: IFPRI Postdoctoral/Research Fellow (Maputo, Mozambique)
The International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) seeks a qualified candidate to serve as a Postdoctoral or Research Fellow to work with the Mozambique Strategy Support Program (MozSSP) for a two-year, fixed-term, exempt, renewable appointment. The position reports to the Director of the Development Strategy and Governance Division (DSGD) and is based in Maputo, Mozambique.
The program focuses on strategic and policy issues in agriculture and rural development and food and nutrition in Mozambique. A primary objective is to enhance the capacity of stakeholders in Mozambique’s food and agricultural sector to undertake evidence-based policymaking in order to foster economic and agricultural growth and reduce poverty, hunger, and malnutrition.
The program supports policy research and capacity strengthening for the implementation of the country’s strategies for agricultural development and nutrition and the CAADP Process. It coordinates its activities with other partners in the country, including Michigan State University and other centers of the CGIAR.
