EMPLOYMENT: Faculty Position at University of Waterloo — Social Aspects of Water Resources
The Department of Environment and Resource Studies (ERS) at the University of Waterloo invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor rank, in the area of social aspects of water resources.
ERS is seeking candidates who can contribute to the department’s transdisciplinary focus on sustainability and resilience and who can participate in the activities of the newly created interdisciplinary Water Institute.
Applicants should have demonstrated expertise in the social aspects of water resources. A combination of expertise in one or more of the following areas is particularly desirable —
- Demand management approaches to sustainable water futures, particularly in the built environment
- Societal and stakeholder perceptions of, and relationships to, water and water management
- gender roles in water management
International perspectives and experiences also are desirable. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to teaching in one or more of these areas.
