CALL FOR ABSTRACTS: International Student Conference: Climate Change and Indigenous Knowledge Systems

NEPAD, in collaboration with its partners, is organizing an International Student Conference on Climate Change and Indigenous Knowledge Systems to be held in Johannesburg, 15 -17 August 2011.

The objectives of the conference are:

The conference themes are:

  1. 1 The Role of Indigenous Knowledge Systems in Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation;
  2. 2 Climate change and vulnerable groups (women, children, disabled, etc,);
  3. 3 Climate change, food security and health;
  4. 4 Climate change, Migration and social conflicts;
  5. 5 Climate change, land, water and other natural resources management;
  6. 6 Climate change and biodiversity management and conservation.

The conference provides students and youth with the opportunity to present their research papers at an international level.
