EMPLOYMENT: Opportunities with Landesa
Landesa’s mission is to improve the lives of the world’s poorest people. Recognizing that the lack of secure land rights is a root cause of global poverty, Landesa’s land law and policy experts help poor countries develop and implement land laws, policies, and programs that provide ladders out of poverty for their citizens and promote long-term economic growth.
Landesa currently has several vacancies that may be of interest to CAPRi memebers.
- Communications & Outreach Specialist (part-time). The Focus on Land in Africa (FoLA) Communications and Outreach Specialist will act as a champion for the Focus on Land in Africa sustainable education tool project (http://www.wri.org/property-rights-africa/) by leading the implementation of its communication and outreach strategy.
- Communications Assistant (part-time). The Communications Assistant will provide general support to the Communications department, including research assignments, maintaining digital media library, editing and administrative duties
- Associate Researcher (China). The Associate Researcher conducts and documents research and supports the research efforts of others on a variety of topics relevant to Landesa’s work.
- Regional Program Director, Africa and/or Central & West Asia. The Regional Program Director (RPD) provides leadership, direction, and coordination of program staff to ensure the effective achievement of Landesa’s regional program objectives.
- Senior Land Tenure Expert. The Senior Land Tenure Expert provides policy, analytical and implementation expertise on rural land tenure security, access to land, women’s land rights, land rights formalization, land markets, land administration (land titling and registration, cadastral services), land management, resolution of land disputes and related fields e.g. food security, agricultural productivity and natural resource management.
- Land Tenure Specialist, Africa. - Senior Administrative Assistant, Programs. The Program Senior Administrative Assistant is a key member of the support team and provides direct administrative and organizational support to the Chief Program Officer, the Africa Program Director, and others on the Program team.
- Development Administrative Coordinator (Part-time). The Administrative Coordinator will provide general administrative support to the CDO on tasks including scheduling, portfolio management, and board and meeting support.
