CALL FOR ABSTRACTS: CAPRi/CCAFS Research Workshop on “Institutions for Inclusive Climate-Smart Agriculture”
The CGIAR research programs on Collective Action and Property Rights (CAPRi) and Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS) are accepting abstracts on the topic of “Institutions for Inclusive Climate Smart Agriculture” for presentation at an international research workshop to be held in Nairobi, Kenya, in September 2012.
The international workshop will focus on the following question:
- What kinds of institutional arrangements are effective in supporting and encouraging inclusive climate-smart agricultural activities?
The purpose of this workshop is to strengthen the capacity of the CGIAR and partners to address institutional issues for inclusive CSA by (1) raising awareness and recognition of the most salient institutional issues related to CSA and (2) providing insight on how researchers and practitioners can best account for and address these issues in their activities.
The workshop will be an opportunity to present empirical and action research studies from Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Papers should have a clear focus on institutions, and particularly institutions of collective action and property rights. Workshop papers will be edited for inclusion in the CAPRi Working Paper series, with selected papers submitted for a special issue of a journal.
Deadline: March 31, 2012
