ONLINE RESOURCE: Payments for Agrobiodiversity Conservation Services (PACS)
A CAPRi-supported project in Peru and Bolivia led by Bioversity International is researching the potential of a particular kind of payment for ecosystem services (PES) scheme aimed at conserving agricultural biodiversity. The project tests the potential of competitive tenders in creating cost-efficient strategies to conserve priority endangered agricultural species and also improve indigenous farmer livelihoods. The project has made a number of interesting resources available on a project website, including the video below.
