EMPLOYMENT: Full Professor, Water Resources Management at Wageningen University
The full professor is chair of the Water Resources Management (WRM) group responsible for the scientific development of interdisciplinary research and education in the field of water resources management, including irrigation, from an integrated socio-technical and socio-ecological perspective. The WRM group aims at promoting technologies, management practices and policies that contribute to a sustainable use, equitable distribution, and democratic governance of water. Over the last decades, the chair group has evolved from an engineering oriented group focusing on irrigation in developing countries to an interdisciplinary group that looks at interdisciplinary water resources management across scales both in the developed and in the developing world.
The successful candidate is a dynamic person, a recognised authority in the scientific field and a unifying/inclusive team leader. S/he holds a PhD degree in the field of water resources management with a proven track record in interdisciplinary research from a socio-technical and socio-ecological perspective.
