EMPLOYMENT: South Asian Network for Development and Environmental Economics (SANDEE) Program Director

The South Asian Network for Development and Environmental Economics (SANDEE) is a regional network that brings together researchers and decision makers from different countries in South Asia to address environment and development problems. By providing funds, training, and mentorship, SANDEE enables individuals and institutions to undertake research on the interlinkages among economic development, poverty, and environmental change.  SANDEE builds on research results to disseminate practical information that can be applied to development policies. SANDEE is hosted by The International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD). More information about SANDEE can be found at www.sandeeonline.org.

SANDEE is seeking a Programme Director who can provide leadership in developing research programmes on regional environmental and development challenges faced in South Asia and liaise with researchers, donors, and policy makers to identify and broadcast pragmatic solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for an innovative research leader or research manager to advance key priorities for regional research and capacity building. The Programme Director will be responsible for developing strategic areas of research, identifying new partnerships across countries and managing complementary research and training activities.
