CALL FOR ABSTRACTS: Aid and Gender Equality. This call seeks to generate research to improve our understanding of the mechanisms underlying aid effectiveness in fostering gender equality and women’s empowerment across the broad spectrum of donor practices (bilateral and multilateral, as well as initiatives involving NGOs and community-based organizations that are supported by aid donors). CALL FOR PROPOSALS: ERAfrica Call for Collaborative Research between EU Member States and/or Associated Countries and Africa. Proposals can be submitted regarding the three fields of interfacing challenges, new ideas, and renewable energies. Deadline: April 15, 2013

PUBLICATIONS: RRI Publications on Large Scale Land Acquisitions. The Rights and Resources Initiative produced two new reports highlighting the significant risks (to both the economy and human rights) when key players in large scale land acquisitions ignore the rights of local communities and Indigenous Peoples.
