PUBLICATION: A Landscape Perspective on Monitoring & Evaluation for Sustainable Land Management EcoAgriculture Partners, with TerrAfrica, has developed and piloted this comprehensive monitoring and evaluation (M&E) currriculum, which is designed to help project leaders in landscape initiatives throughout Africa build the knowledge and capacities of SLM professionals to conduct appropriate, engaging, and cost-effective monitoring and evaluation of their sustainable land management projects.
CALL FOR ABSTRACT: Tropentag Conference, the largest academic event in Germany around agriculture and food security, will be in Berlin 16-18 September, 2015. The theme this year is ‘Management of land use systems for enhanced food security – conflicts, controversies and resolutions’. Deadline for submission of abstracts is May 1.
EMPLOYMENT: Junior Economists/Policy Analysts (Sahel and West Africa Club- OECD Paris) The SWAC/OECD Secretariat is recruiting two junior economists/policy analysts to support two areas of its Programme of Work: 1) Regional governance of food and nutritional security, in particular with relation to support to the Global Alliance for Resilience (AGIR) – Sahel and West Africa and the Food Crisis Prevention Network (RPCA) and 2) analytical work of the Secretariat, for example with relation to cross-border co-operation in West Africa, using a relational approach based on cartography and policy network analysis, and/or innovative approaches to food and nutrition security.
